Talk by Aiste Celkyte at the 43rd Annual Ancient Philosophy Workshop in Austin
Aiste Celkyte will be giving a talk at the 43rd Annual Ancient Philosophy Workshop at UT Austin on the 6-7th of March. The title is ‘The irreducibility of higher cerebral functions in Galen’.
She will focus on the question of why Galen objects to reductive accounts of higher cerebral functions and, more specifically, why he thinks that the nerve system is unable to carry them out.
