High school course on Galen

This week fifth formers at the Gemeentelijk Gymnasium Hilversum started the course ‘Galen: Physician Philosopher Rhetorician.’ The course syllabus was designed by members the classics department of the GGH (dr. Maithe Hulskamp, Clarine Rijpstra MA, Dr Martin Ruf, Ellen Verkerk MA) and the Galen Project (Prof Teun Tieleman, Jojanneke Drogt MSc and Anouk van der Vlis BA). The course is taught by Ellen Verkerk MA. In due course, the syllabus – adapted in the light of experiences made in the class room – will be made available to classics teachers in the Netherlands. The course will end in the week of March 26th.
